Story
Our Story & Mission
This was our 2009 recipe for success. We took the eco-friendly fad. Mixed it in ethnic chic. Added a dash of tribal art. Garnished it with some savvy marketing and laughed all the way to the bank. Our company Riyo Moda® did that every day. Riya & Kamlesh Hotchandani, the couple, ran this venture as a part-time business that sold eco-friendly bamboo furniture and cane products. Products were sourced from the tribals of Assam. “Selling eco-friendly products is one way of giving back to nature what we have received from it,” Riya quotes.
Constant evolution is natural. Due to logistical challenges, product procurement was a consstant challenge. But businesses have to survive. That’s how the concept of designing swings was born in 2012. The couple started a small manufacturing unit and soon became a known brand name in the swings category.
Year 2017 became the year of national presence when Hotchandanis listed Riyo Moda® on Amazon India. Today, with more than 50 models, Riyo Moda® tops the swings category on Amazon India website.

Riya is the Queen bee. She looks after finance and strategic business growth. She is a key decision maker on diversification of Riyo Moda® into different high revenue generating products and verticals.
Kamlesh Hotchandani
Co-Owner
Kamlesh looks after day to day activities of Riyo Moda®. He has teams of different business verticals for smooth procurement, manufacturing and delivery of products. He also looks after YoY growth of business through digital and convential mediums.
People development comes very close to Kamlesh’s heart. He understands that an organization can grow when people are equipped with better knowledge & skills. He is the chief mentor besides co-owning Riyo Moda®.
